“It's funny how the beauty of art has so much more to do with the frame than the artwork itself.” ― Chuck Palahniuk
Reframe: to frame (something) again and often in a different way.
Reflexive: recognizes the constructive nature of doc and conveying to people the it is not necessarily truth-a truth not the truth
For my series Slices, I used permanent structures and objects; like public art, windows, and construction areas in order to reframe what and how the view interacts with the image. This reframing allows the viewer to only see a small slice of the moment. The resulting images become much more about the framing, then the actual image itself; as it controls what the viewer can and cannot see.
